Fish or No Fish
Well, last week was the no fish week but this week, the big one did not get a way. It seems that when you really don't have a mind set that you should catch fish, and you are just playing around to kill time, there it is--
Almost dark and the line gets tight. You reel and reel giving the fish what slack he needs to move a little. You reel again and so on. He takes you from mid way the pier to almost the end. Then you hear a large splash in the water and realize "hey this ain't no baby". You get him up close to the pier then your best bet is yell " bring me the net" because you know you can't get him out any other way. Your assistant is kind to reach into the water with the net and get him.
Now it is time to take the hook off of him and use the scales that someone had given your husband to see how much he weighs. This was a keeper--3 lbs. 4 ozs.
It is getting late but you know you must go home and clean the fish before bedtime. So you are out at 10PM cleaning the fish only because you want to save the prize fish and eat it later (another day). This was the best fishing trip yet this summer. Maybe there will be more.
You know, I guess it only takes patiences to see good things happen. It seems the less you worry or get tangled up in everyday life, the more fun you have doing what you enjoy.

Great Post. You are becoming quite the fisher-person. Congrats on the Big Catch. Where's the picture of you holding your prized catch?
