Virginia Tech--
As a parent we pray, we hope and trust that each day for our children is rewarding, full of greatness, and if not, they can withstand the ups and downs of life. You also hope and pray that they are a christian and that their faith is in the one and only God.
The last few days, my heart has been and prayers have been with the kids on Virginia Tech's campus, it's staff, family and friends of not only those murdered but the injured, the heart broken and the confussed. I can't imagine how a parent must feel over the death of one of their children to such a senseless act of one individual. Much less any other tragedy. In a smaller scale, this reminds me of 9-11.
These kids were just beginning their plans for their future. Their parents or other family members were looking on to see their children grow up to be proud of them but today they have left the life on earth to be in a better place. They didn't make the choice to leave early, they didn't plan the outcome of that day, they lived through a most tramatic time. Some parished, some are critically injured, some are wondering about the day in general. Parents are asking why and how did it all happen. They may never find out the answer to so many questions.
I ask that you pray for the family of Virginia Tech. Pray for the families and kids as they move on without the ones they loved so much. Pray for all who have contact with the campus for a better understanding and for peace in their hearts. Pray for them to be able to ease the loneliness they may have and for comfort through Jesus Christ.
Today I have my husband, sons,daughter-in-law, grandsons, family and friends. Cherish those moments together, tell them you love them, hug them and thank God for each day you have with them. For those days are special ones.
