REFLECTIONS
Tonight was a night of reflection. Time spent with old friends and newly formed friendships through our UMW at church. Ladies who have left and moved on in their lives to other churches but visited tonight as past presidents. The old and the young sharing time together reflecting on times past and things to come.
Those remembering our children when they were young and now those children are grown, married and some have children. Those remembering teaching Sunday school to those small children who have grown up to be men and women and that have been productive in their work and building new friendships.
Not only was this a night of friend and family reflections but a reflection on how many lives have been touched through funds given to our mission areas. Both local missions (that consist of many, many areas), overseas missions, Katrina victims, Habitat, homeless shelters, Methodist Childrens Home and more. Outreach to our missionary groups has also been special.
With all this said, reflection plays a major roll in our lives and with each moment, we create one more. One more --to be remembered--one more we might want to share--one more that took a moment of our life--and one more God has allowed us to have the time to make.
During this Christmas season, reflect on your life--share some special reflection with friends--build some new ones and keep those reflections of Jesus's wonderful birth front and foremost in your mind, heart and soul.
